Educational Qualification:
Inspector of Income Tax : Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent
Tax Assistant: Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent
Having Data entry Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour
Age limit: Income Tax Department Recruitment
Inspector of Income Tax : Minimum age limit 18 years, Maximum age limit 30 years
Tax Assistant: Minimum age limit 18 years, Maximum age limit 27 years
Relaxation of age:
The upper age limit is relaxed up to a maximum 5 years in the case of sports persons.
Departmental candidates with three years continuous service in central government can apply up to an age of 40 years.
